Long Ago Designs - Custom Built Furniture

About My Business

I build custom furniture that is made to last, attractive to look at, and available at an affordable price.

My business is based on the belief that people are still interested in a solid, durable, attractive piece of furniture that will serve a purpose now, can be passed on to future generations, and can be repaired at any time if need be.

Say for example, the coffee table that I built for you incurred a scratch or a dent.  In most cases this is easily repairable and the piece does not have to be trashed,, as it would be if it was purchased at an outlet that featured sub-standard materials.

My repertoire includes beds, dressers, coffee tables, chests, just about anything you can imagine.  If there is a piece that requires more than my talent allows, I will point you to someone who can fulfill your needs.  In
addition to building furniture, I also do cabinets - which includes refacing
cabinet doors, re-finishing old finishes, and repairing old cabinets.

And of course,, I also build cabinets that are available in the unfinished state, in case you would like to do this work yourself.

I only use veneer or particle board materials when I am directed to do so by the customer. And then, only reluctantly.

Most pieces require a deposit of 50% to cover the cost of materials, with the balance due upon completion of the project.  Your personal check is always welcome here,, and if you would like to pay via credit or debit card, my business is set up with PAY-PAL.

If you are interested in a piece of furniture and need to pay me over time or "layaway", let's talk.  Usually, something can be worked out.
